Job Purpose/Summary
The CFO will lead the hospital’s financial strategy, governance, and operational efficiency. He will ensure financial sustainability, compliance, and innovation in revenue generation while maintaining fiscal discipline to achieve organizational goals. He will be responsible for high-level financial reporting and analyzing the impact of global, regional, and national trends on the organization.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the financial strategy aligned with the hospital’s long-term vision and growth objectives.
- Partner with the CEO and board on strategic initiatives, including expansion projects, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Lead capital allocation, investment decisions, and financial modeling for strategic initiatives.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor annual budgets and multi-year financial plans.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports for the board and stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis and implement corrective actions to align financial performance with plans.
- Drive efficiency in revenue cycle management, reducing payment delays and optimizing cash Flow.
- Implement cost-saving measures across operational units without compromising service quality.
- Design and review pricing strategies for services, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, tax laws, and audit standards.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Risk Manager to identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure transparent financial practices.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Finance team with clear performance objectives.
- Foster relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
- Act as a financial advisor to the CEO and senior management team.
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any other business-related field from an accredited University
- Relevant Professional qualification (ICAN/ACA/ACCA/CPA/CFA) is required
- Minimum of 15 years of experience with at least 3 years of managerial experience preferably in healthcare or high-compliance industries.
- Proficiency in Financial modeling, budgeting, and ERP systems; knowledge of Nigerian Financial regulations and tax systems

- Relevant postgraduate degree (M.Sc. or MBA)
