Job Summary
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic financial management of the bank, you will be responsible for establishing and developing bank-wide financial management objectives, policies, and practices. Leading a team of professionals, you will oversee the accounting, tax, reporting, controlling, and treasury units to ensure the Bank’s financial health and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and develop bank-wide financial management objectives, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Manage and develop the accounting, tax, reporting, controlling, and treasury units.
- Provide oversight of all aspects of the finance functions of the Bank.
- Develop and maintain internal controls systems to safeguard financial assets and ensure effective operations.
- Manage liquidity, liquidity forecasts, and funding of the Bank.
- Lead capital management and planning initiatives.
- Oversee financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage financial reporting both internally and in compliance with external bodies.
- Determine the financial implications of business activities in collaboration with management.
- Establish policies and procedures for all areas of financial management and ensure continuous development.
- Respond promptly to specific financial challenges/issues.

Person Profile:
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Accounting or Finance Certification such as (ACCA, ICAN, CFA or related accreditation)
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the financial industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of banking (preferable commercial banking sector) or financial institutions.
- Experience with issuance of commercial papers, bonds and capital markets is an extra plus.
