Job Summary

  • To manage and support the hotel’s technology infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • To ensure that all IT operations run smoothly, securely, and efficiently, contributing to excellent guest service and internal operations.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems across the hotel (computers, printers, routers, switches, servers, POS systems, etc.).
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hotel staff and systems, including internet access, email, software applications, and hospitality systems (PMS, POS, key card systems, etc.).
  • Ensure data security, system backups, antivirus protection, and compliance with IT policies.
  • Monitor system performance and address potential issues proactively.
  • Manage hotel’s internet connectivity and guest Wi-Fi systems, ensuring consistent uptime and quality service.
  • Maintain accurate IT inventory and documentation for all hardware and software assets.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for system support, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Assist in training hotel staff on basic IT tools, systems, and security awareness.
  • Participate in planning and implementing IT-related projects or upgrades.

Education and Experience
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience in IT support or systems administration.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in an IT support or officer role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS (e.g., Opera, Protel), POS, PBX, and door locking systems is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and software applications.

Desirable:

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Understanding of IT security and data protection principles.
