Job Purpose/summary

As Associate Transaction Manager (Project and Infrastructure Funding), you will be responsible for the efficient handling of all transactions leading to speedy delivery of investment banking deals and meeting specified financial/operational targets, especially on project finance and infrastructure/energy related transactions.

Key Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Head, Investment Banking in deal execution and origination.
  • Actively identify and follow up on emerging market opportunities on energy and project finance transactions.
  • Manage the execution of projects with clients which includes and M&A advisory, project finance and other related capital market transactions.
  • Manage projects and serving as team lead.
  • Act as a mentor to project team members and client teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery/execution of tasks and projects.
  • Participate in project presentation to clients.
  • Ensure consistent quality of thought, work processes and deliverables.
  • Accountable for the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve assets and report accurate financial results to the Managing Director.
  • Ensure quality of deliverables & work processes; checking against agreements to ensure conformity with contact guidelines and client expectations.
  • Establish strict compliance to tax obligations, prompt claim and remittance of taxes.
  • Manage all aspects of client engagements with emphasis on solutions delivery, client satisfaction and fee payment.
  • Oversee project milestones, timelines, and budgets, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting project finance transactions, providing insights and recommendations to enhance business strategies and mitigate risks.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • First degree in any business (Business Administration, Economics, and Finance) related course.
  • 6-7 years of progressive experience in project finance, infrastructure financing, investment banking or finance related fields.
  • 5 years of experience in investment banking or related advisory capacity.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with expertise in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.

Desired

  • A post graduate qualification, preferably an MBA or relevant MSc will be an added advantage
  • Relevant professional qualification(CFA, ACCA, ACA, ICAN) will be an advantage
