Job Purpose/Summary
- To manage the hotel’s reservation process and ensure a smooth, efficient, and professional booking experience for guests.
- Handle all reservation inquiries and bookings, maximize room occupancy, and support revenue optimization strategies.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to reservation inquiries via phone, email, online booking platforms, or walk-ins.
- Process individual and group bookings accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest details are correctly captured in the property management system.
- Update room availability and rates in coordination with the Revenue or Front Office Manager.
- Liaise with other departments (Housekeeping, Front Office, Sales, etc.) to ensure booking requirements are met and guest expectations are exceeded.
- Handle cancellations, modifications, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a clear and organized record of reservations, payments, and guest correspondence.
- Monitor booking trends and provide reports on occupancy and reservation activity.
- Promote upselling of room categories and hotel services to maximize revenue.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, booking standards, and guest privacy requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Proven experience in hotel reservations (experience with hospitality software preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera, IDS, Protel, or similar).
