Job Purpose/Summary

As a Human Resource Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization’s human resources functions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and strategies that align with the company’s goals and comply with Nigerian labour laws and regulations. Your primary objective will be to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing and satisfied workforce.

Key Functions/Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job advertisement, candidate screening, interviews, and selection.
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent and build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment to meet organizational requirements.:
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner, maintaining a balance between employee satisfaction and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular employee feedback surveys and exit interviews to gather insights and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems, including goal-setting, performance appraisals, and employee development plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on performance-related matters.
  • Identify training and development needs, and coordinate the implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Administer and manage the organization’s compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and market competitiveness.
  • Conduct salary bench-marking exercises to determine appropriate salary ranges for different job roles.
  • Regularly review and update the employee benefits package to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with Nigerian labour laws and regulations.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with legal requirements related to employment, health and safety, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in labour laws and proactively implement necessary revisions to policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions on HR-related topics, such as performance management, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars to enhance employees’ skills and knowledge on various HR practices.
  • Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts within the organization.

Minimum Requirement (Qualification and Experience)

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration,
  • 10 years’ proven experience in the medical industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook) or related software

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is an added advantage
  • Command of HR technology
  • Ability to oversee employee relations, talent recruitment and workforce training
