Job Purpose/summary

As a Marketing Officer, you will be pivotal in formulating and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive business growth, enhance brand visibility, and foster lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in aviation industry marketing and business development, coupled with astute analytical skills and strategic prowess.

Key Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and initiatives to support the achievement of sustainable profitability and market growth for the company.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify business opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscapes within the aviation industry.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, financiers, government agencies, media houses, and strategic alliances/partners such as airlines and hotels.
  • Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the company’s services and impact in priority markets.
  • Utilize digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and website content, to optimize brand exposure and generate leads.
  • Prepare regular reports on marketing activities for review by the Head of Marketing and Business Development, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing, with at least 4 years in a management position.
  • Proven track record of success in marketing and sales functions within the aviation industry.
  • Professional certifications or memberships in relevant associations (e.g., Institute of Strategic Management, Project Management Professional, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria) preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


  • A postgraduate qualification, preferably an MBA or Relevant Master’s Degree
  • Diploma in IATA (International Air Transport Association).
  • Exposure and experience of change management an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
