Job Purpose/summary
As an experienced Process Design Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing towards the preparation of Process Designs and deliverables for basic/conceptual, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) according to specifications.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Prepare Process design and deliverables for feasibility studies, conceptual/basic engineering, FEED and DED.
- Preparation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Preparation of Utility Flow Diagrams (UFD)
- Preparation of Utility & Instrumentation Diagram (U&ID)
- Preparation of Process Equipment Data Sheets and Technical Specifications.
- Carry out Process Simulation of a facility and generate Heat and Material Balance (HMB)
- Conduct Process Calculations (sizing of equipment, valves, lines and pumps, hydraulic calculation, blow down calculation, etc.)
- Perform inter-discipline design checks.
- Preparation of Cost Time Resource (CTR) for any Project.
- Participate in engineering design and safety reviews.
- Conduct Site visits and submit reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Eng. Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering or relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar role
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and Adobe editing system
- Excellent use of Process Engineering Software’s (i.e AutoCAD, HYSYS, PIPESIM, FLARENET, OLGA etc)
- Conversant with National and International Codes, Standards and Engineering Practices used in the industry – API, ASME & ISA, ANSI, AGA, IEC, DEP etc.
