Job Purpose/summary
As an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing towards the preparation of Civil/Structural Designs and deliverables for basic/conceptual, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) according to specifications.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Prepare Civil design and deliverables for feasibility studies, conceptual/basic engineering, FEED and DED.
- Prepare Civil/structural Steel Design calculations
- Prepare of a fit-for-purpose steel and concrete drawings.
- Carry out design of Foundations for equipment, shelters, pipe supports/Piperack, platforms, etc.
- Prepare concrete and steel design calculation reports for Client’s approval
- Prepare of Concrete and Steel technical specifications.
- Prepare material take-offs and Tender documents.
- Ability to interpret Geotechnical and Topographical reports for a fit-for-purpose foundation design.
- Perform inter-discipline design checks
- Visits site for verification and as-built documentation.
- Adhere to the Scope of Work (SoW) and the prepared Master Document Register as it concerns Civil discipline.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:

- B.Eng. Civil/Structural Engineering or other related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar role.
- Civil/Structural engineering expertise and competency in Basic Design, FEED and Detailed design.
- Excellent use of Engineering Software’s (i.e SACS, STAADPro, Tekla, Orion, AutoCAD, Ms Office and MS project).
- Conversant with National and International Codes, Standards and Engineering Practices used in the industry AISC, ACI, API-RP2A, Eurocodes and other International standards and company codes
