Job Purpose/Summary
As a Human Resources (HR) Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the full spectrum of HR functions to support our dynamic and high performing investment banking environment. You will play a key role in aligning human capital strategies with business objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and building a strong, engaged, and high performing workforce.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
HR Operations & Analytics
- Maintain HR systems (HRIS) and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain HR metrics dashboards for turnover, productivity, engagement, etc.
- Prepare periodic reports and board-level presentations on key HR performance indicators.
Strategic HR Leader
- Align HR strategies with the bank’s long-term goals and ensure a scalable people management structure.
- Support organizational change initiatives including restructures, mergers, and cultural transformation.
- Advise executive management on human capital trends, risks, and opportunities.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies for front office and back-office teams
- Track and analyze recruitment KPIs such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire.
- Coordinate job descriptions, interview frameworks, and competency-based assessments.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure recruitment needs align with workforce plans.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast hiring needs and manage manpower planning.
- Oversee onboarding and induction programs to ensure smooth assimilation of new hires.
Performance Management & Career Management
- Implement and manage a performance appraisal framework tailored to investment banking roles.
- Link performance outcomes to reward programs and succession planning.
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and career pathing efforts.
- Identify high-potential employees and develop retention strategies.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure company-wide compliance with labor laws, financial sector HR regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Liaise with legal advisors, regulators, or auditors on HR-related matters when required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Analyze market trends and conduct compensation benchmarking to maintain competitive salary structures.
- Manage payroll reviews, annual compensation cycles, and bonus structures aligned with KPIs.
- Review and manage employee benefits programs and wellness initiatives.
Learning & Development
- Conduct training needs assessments across departments.
- Design, implement, and evaluate learning interventions that enhance leadership, technical, and soft skills.
- Collaborate with external training vendors and institutions as needed.
Culture and Engagement
- Drive initiatives that reinforce the organization’s values, culture, and employee experience.
- Organize team-building activities, staff recognition programs, and feedback forums.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Professional HR certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR policies relevant to the financial or banking sector.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience working in a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, fintech).
