Job Summary
We are a leading Holding company, dedicated to delivering innovative talent solutions to businesses of all sizes and we are currently seeking an experienced IT Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our IT infrastructure runs smoothly and securely.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Create servers and databases for functionality
- Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple platforms.
- Develop front-end website architecture.
- Design user interactions on web pages.
- Manage data backups, and recovery procedures, and ensure IT security protocols are in place.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and timelines effectively to the Managing Partner.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot problems, and provide timely solutions.
- Maintain and update company databases, internal servers, and cloud-based applications.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for IT procurement and support.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and internal IT policies.
- Assist in the implementation of HR technology tools (e.g., ATS, HRIS, payroll systems).
- Conduct regular training for staff on IT tools, best practices, and security awareness.
- Recommend upgrades, patches, and new IT solutions aligned with business goals.
- Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages to meet the specific needs of Purple Star Consulting Limited.
- Complete any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, networking, firewalls, and cybersecurity.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, etc.).
- Familiarity with HR software/tools (e.g., Zoho People, Microsoft Outlook, SAP SuccessFactors, BambooHR) is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, Ruby, PHP) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
